Chochin (Japanese Lantern) creates warm lights. GIFU CHOCHIN (Gifu city, Gifu prefecture) has a history of more than 300 years and is famous for its Bon Festival lanterns which are thinly boned and covered by thin paper such as Mino Washi. It was designated as a Japanese traditional craft in 1995.

Masu is a wooden or metal container used to measure rice, salt, and alcohol. It was used in Heijo-kyo (Nara prefecture) over 1300 years ago. Ogaki city in Gifu prefecture is the largest producing district of wooden masu in Japan, accounting for 80% of the total production. It is also popular overseas as an exotic container.
